I am working on an implementation of a method that translates a folksonomy into an ontology.

The status of the work thus far is that I have a method which will turn a tag cloud into an ontology for a particular URL. The method can be specified algorithmically, but only parts of it have been implemented in a fully automatic fashion.
In the meantime, I will give an example of the sort of translation that becomes posible. The result is that we will have one such mini-ontology for each URL. These can have many uses, but the Protege specific project is to merge them into a large domain ontology.
So here is the tag cloud for the New York Times web site.
